A few bird haikus.
With a soft chirping And fluttering of wings The bird serenades -
Flying to the south To much warmer lands of sun The bird finds comfort -
So sweet is the song Of the small birds in the cages Or in the wild skies

The last one is my favorite; it also reminds me of S.T.

Thanks, I'm glad you liked them. I went though a time where I'd write haikus all the time.

Haikus are fun but I thought they never really gave you enough lines or syllables or whatever to write a full poem.

Hmm, I see what you mean, but I still enjoy them. They are more poetic than a lot of things. And probably in Japanese there are more one sylable words that make sense together so the lines have more meaning. I don;t know though.
