Does anyone think that it might be possible that, evolutionism and creationism both have a bit of truth?

God! You are real... Wow. So why do you send people to hell if you love them so much?

I think that there could be both, but predominately evolution. I don't really believe in God per se, but I think that there could (and is) some sort of greater force. I also believe therefore in intelligent design but not creationism out right. The world is older than that obviously and why would God lead us to believe otherwise by putting fake dinosaur bones?

Yes, yes it is. I think it should be two different debates though, creationism vs evolution and religion.

How can one believe the claims of scientists that the world is as old as they say? In times gone by scientists claimed the world was flat and people believed without any question. Now they say the world is bilions of years old. That is just one example.

They didn't have proof of a flat Earth.

I have never really seen proof of a billion year old earth other than hearing scientists say it is, and hear them say that they HAVE proof. How many of us ordinary people can really sit down and scrutinize over this supposed proof and can understand the tools and devices they use to establish such numbers?
In my opinion, we are at the mercy of the supposed truths they present us with...that is until one of us, or more can become one of those people who determine the scientific truth of the planet.

Yes, technology was very, very limited then, and now it is highly extensive. Of course things can't be entirely accurate, but theya re faily precise so yeah, the world is obviously not exactly the age scientists say, but it's obviously older than creationism claims it to be.
